Point cloud scan of a protected building at Sygard Grytting
To make the restoration of an old protected building more efficient, Skiplum AS was engaged to carry out point cloud scanning and produce a model of the upper building at Sygard Grytting. The goal was a precise digital basis for further planning and documentation, and to ensure that the restoration is done accurately and with respect for the building's historic value.
Sygard Grytting is a historic farm in Gudbrandsdalen with roots going back to the Middle Ages, and it has been farmed continuously for more than 700 years. Today it is both a heritage site and a guest farm, known for its authentic architecture and historic atmosphere. It was once a lodging for pilgrims. By using modern technology such as point cloud scanning, Skiplum helps preserve this heritage for future generations.
