From coarse cubes to the points themselves.
An octree divides space into cubes. Each level halves the cubes along all three axes, and only the cells that actually contain points get drawn — filled with the average colour of the points inside. The scan of Sannergata 2 sits underneath the whole time. Step through the levels to watch the cubes close in on it, and toggle point cloud and voxel cells to compare the scan against the octree's approximation of it.

Level 1: eight big cubes over the point cloud — barely a hint of the real shape. Compare them against the points underneath.
